suggested that there should be a blanket ban on tobacco in India when its
established that there are so much of disease that is caused to human beings by
tobacco.

Volunteers discussed the ill effects of
tobacco on the youth, their family members and members in the society, overall
health and financial burden in India and explained the relevance of SAVE the

“Be Smart Do Not
Start” comic booklet on tobacco awareness authored by Dr Pawan Gupta (National
President of ICanWin Foundation and Sr Cancer Surgeon) was distributed among
the 63 students and teachers;
A quiz competition was conducted at the end to
which students answered as per their understanding. A Tobacco Control Committee consisting of 4 teachers was formed in the
school to keep an eye on different tobacco related activities and its violation
under COTPA 2003.
Students and teachers pledged “NOT TO TAKE TOBACCO IN ANY FORM THROUGHOUT LIFE”.
